Punchy
I made a rough version of a little web app, optimized for my particular phone model, to mimic the “keys” mode of the EP-133 KO II. I call it "Punchy". Try it here!
I've been watching windowbed's "KO II Music Theory" video series and found myself actually enjoying the sort of geometric nature of how chords are laid out on the weird 3x4 grid of the KO II. I decided it'd be nice to build the muscle memory of the various chord shapes even when I'm somewhere that the KO II isn't.
I used Tone.js for the audio generation itself and Tonal.js (lol) for the key/scale music theory heavy lifting.
If I get time later I'll make the controls at the top look nicer, add the necessary files to make it a barebones PWA so that I can have a fullscreen version with a home screen icon on my iPhone, and fix some random bugs (it doesn't work super well on desktop, but I designed this with multitouch in mind, so I don't really care)
Check Out Punchy
edit: updated to embed the app in the post, thanks @graham!
