I actually like the Camila Cabello track
it's an absurd car crash of the rise of "hyperpop" in precisely the capacity that commercially successful producers can understand it, a B-tier pop star trying to figure out how to break through in a new album cycle, a critically-acclaimed rapper with a slightly baffling performance in his pop feature debut, and a bloghouse-inspired sample of gucci mane's "lemonade" that feels like it was cribbed off of snow strippers' next mixtape
I think Anthony Fantano's review underestimates the desire to actually do this sound that the people who made it wanted to achieve and also I think he's just a couple years too young to understand the significance of the gucci sample. I agree that the music video is mid though
