Jon Bois, proposing an alternative to the popular "Clients From Hell", “Clients From Earth”:
Client: “I’d like you to make us a website that is like Google, but better.”
Me: “Well, that would be nice, but something like Google would require massive amounts of capital and exposure.”
Client: “Oh, I see. I’m sorry, that probably sounded foolish. I just don’t know a whole lot about how the Internet works. Thank you for being patient with me.”
Each of these four articles is funnier than the last (except for the first, which of course has no article before it and thus is incapable of being funnier than its non-existent predecessor, unless you just assume that any non-existent article has a zero-value of funniness to it, in which case this recursive algorithm can be satisfied). I look forward to seeing more things like this, hopefully on a revamped Progressive Boink blog.
