this example of "rapper hops onto a popular instrumental with an unauthorized 'remix' and makes some self-referential remarks" really makes me nostalgic for summers when you could expect that every B-to-C-tier rapper would do the same for some anointed song/beat/riddim, all of which would be downloadable via mediafire download linked from every mp3 blog on the planet, which gave you an excuse to just have like 12 versions of the same killer hook on your playlist
