Teaching Ruby to High School Girls

Teaching Ruby to High School Girls

you don’t have to memorize how everything is done to be a good programmer. You just need to know where to find out.

This is an interesting summary of how Sarah Mei taught a group of high school girls how Ruby and Shoes can make programming relatively easy. I think she does a better job of expressing the difficulties that beginners have with the strict syntax of programming than some summaries like this that I’ve seen have in the past but overall it sounds like it was a success.
